MAC x Lorde

I was excited about the Lorde MAC collection since it was announced. I had been looking for a dark purple lipstick for some time and Pure Heroine seemed absolutely perfect. My order was placed as soon as it went on sale on MAC's website, even before the email saying it was out arrived in my inbox. It came in the mail a few days later and oh my goodness it was beautiful. I almost didn't want to use it but I finally wore it last night and this color makes me feel so fierce! The inner goth in me loves dark lipstick and I feel this is a little more fashionable and socially accepted than black. I'm going to be sad when I use it all, so much so that I might order one more to have for the future, like the saying "one to rock, one to stock." Have any of you bought Pure Heroine? If so, how do you like it? xo

Mascara queen

It's quite obvious that I love mascara. I'm always trying new and different brands and types, but these are the ones I am currently using;
  • Diorshow Black Out
  • Benefit Bad Gal Lash
  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes!
  • E.L.F. Lengthening & Defining
  • Laura Geller GLAMlash
  • Bare Minerals Lash Domination
I'd like to say I have certain reason for wearing a specific one but it really just kind of depends on which one I grab first! I will say that I do tend to go for the Lash Domination more often than not because I really like the how it separates my lashes and gives them a lot of length with very little clumping. What are your favorite mascaras? xo

Favorite product - deodorant removing sponge

I'm sure all you have had this problem, you put on that little black dress or cute dark colored top and while checking out how great it looks, you see it, The dreaded deodorant mark! If you are anything like me you first tried getting them off with water and some kind of washcloth. That does absolutely nothing. I struggled with this problem for a long time. I have always worn a lot of black and dark colored clothing and I, unfortunately, have a bit of a sweating problem so I wear a good amount of deodorant or antiperspirant. So, I would either be forced to change to a lighter color or go out with white streaks all over my top.
But, one day I was in CVS and I stumbled upon some products in bright pink packaging (So obviously I was attracted to it.) This pink packaging contained all kinds of neat things from a company called Hollywood Fashion Secrets. As I was looking at the items, I saw one that said Deodorant Removing Sponge. I thought, "wow, that's awesome" but was a bit skeptical because any product can claim they do great things, and end up, well... sucking. I decided to give it a shot though. I purchased the sponge and went on my way.
One of the next few days from my visit to CVS, I was getting dressed and I saw the white streaks. I remembered that purchase I made the other day and went to get it. I read the directions, which said; "Briskly rub residue from your clothing with Hollywood Deodorant Removing Sponge. No need to use water." I then proceeded to quickly rub my shirt and I immediately noticed the white lightening! After a few more moments, it was virtually gone.
The sponge is reusable so I continued to use it every time I saw deodorant marks. You have to be able to rub the sponge relatively fast to get the residue off your clothing, but once you do it a few times it becomes a piece of cake! The sponge itself becomes yellowed after a while due to the deodorant on it so you might want to replace it when it starts looking pretty dingy.
This is a product I swear by, it definitely did what it said it would! If you suffer from those unsightly white marks on your dark clothing, go to your neighborhood drugstore and pick one of these up. You won't regret it. xo

Favorite recent beauty purchase

Recently my mom was watching QVC and I was just sitting there, but makeup came on screen so I was curious because I love makeup. It was this eyeshadow that works as an eyeliner. It was called Eye Rimz by Laura Geller. The product demonstrations looked pretty cool so my mom asked me if I wanted to try it. She knows I love eyeliner, so she ordered it. The package came a few days later and I tried it the day after I got it when I was going to a show. I went to the bathroom, wet the brush like instructed, and started putting it on. I don't know what it is about that brush but this stuff applied amazing. I was expecting to have to try a bit to get a straight line like I have to do with my liquid eyeliner, but that wasn't the case. It stayed on pretty well considering I have deep set eyes and most everything rubs off and requires re-application. It still looked decent after almost 8 hours and no touch-ups. If you like a dark line on your lids and would love easy application I seriously recommend this product. You can order it from QVC for about $24 and I really think it's worth it so far.
